A little bit about Ang Hill...

Ang Hill is a luxe handmade women's clothing brand for the soulful woman. Established in 2019 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Ang Hill has been growing ever since.

Nice to meet you! I'm Angie Hillaby, the founder and creative mind behind Ang Hill. Ever since I was a little girl, it was my dream to be a fashion designer. I would spend hours sketching outfits, later I learned to sew and took fashion design classes. It took me 20 years, and a variety of careers, for me to realize that my dreams and passion could come to life! I still work full-time as a Respiratory Therapist in research. When I'm not busy creating, you will find me learning about something new age (I love astrology. I'm an Aquarius, Aries moon and Aquarius rising), hanging out with my husband Rob and our two cats, learning about self-improvement, self care and spending time outdoors in nature. I recognize the importance of loving yourself. That is why each piece not only encompasses outer beauty but also inner beauty and Self Love. I believe that ALL women deserve to feel beautiful and focus on integrating compassion and specifically, Self Love, into my brand.

Each Ang Hill handmade piece is Labelled with Love to help you FEEL as special as you are! Unique words of inspiration appear in each of our pieces, so when you get dressed in the morning, you are reminded of just how awesome you are!

Each item is named after a special woman who has helped Ang Hill along the way. These women, in no particular order, are some of the amazing ladies who have made Ang Hill possible:

Betsy and Laura Milne of Luscious Hustle

Marina Parelli of Prairie Couture

Jane Marshall co-founder of The Compassion Project

Kajal Chavda owner of Filament Hair

Cassie Tobin

Melanie Dompe

Chelaine and Janelle owners of FLOC Boutique

I support an amazing charity, The Compassion Project. This charity was founded by Edmontonian, Jane Marshall. It supports a community in Nepal by providing education and healthcare. More info can be found here.

Ang Hill is community-focused. I host events for charity and lead fun events in Edmonton. If you would like to collaborate on an event, feel free to reach out! I am always open to working with other women on fun ways to give back.

Ang Hill is an ethical and sustainable brand. I care about the planet and recognize the importance of sustainability and ethics. I sew some of the garments and I also employ two seamstresses in Edmonton. I pay them a good wage. All pieces are made with quality fabrics and constructed to last decades. My packaging is recyclable or made from recycled materials. Mailers for small items are paper-based and can be recycled curbside. Larger items are shipped using poly mailers that are made from recycled materials or upcycled. I limit unnecessary packaging materials. I chose not to use compostable mailers, as research shows that these mailers end up in waste where they do not break down appropriately. I am continuously researching ways to be more planet-friendly. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. My vision is to create timeless pieces, that can be sold to customers for years to come, without being seasonal. Seasonless sustainable fashion.

I am also working on making Ang Hill a more inclusive brand. Ang Hill is for all women and I want to do my best to make sure everyone feels welcome. I am committed to unlearning anti-blackness and white supremacy. I have a young brand, and recognize that I have the responsibility to ensure that my brand matures into an inclusive brand focused on equality and community.

Thank you for visiting. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. If your size is sold out, we can likely make you one. Don't be shy! Can't wait to hear from you.
